Iranian Cultural Week Started at Marwah Studios From 17 December 2014


 

Iran Cultural Week Inaugurated at Marwah Studios.


Screening of films, workshops and discussions were the part and parcel of Cultural Week of Islamic Republic of Iran at Marwah Studios in association with Iranian Culture House, New Delhi at Noida Film City.


"The great people of Iran always insist for justice and it can be witness throughout the literature such as the appraisal of Kaveh Ahangar in epic book of Shahnameh, while this resistance in the Modern history of Iran could be discovered in the Qajr period as formal and open struggle against the British and Russian imperialism,. In the period of tyranny of shah, the resistance was shown in poetic form of literature such as critic poems, Fictions and Dramas. Even the approach of Iranian movies has become more nationalistic and traditional against the imported Culture of the west. He further said that the literature of resistance has revitalized with emersion of Islamic Revolution. The 8 years of imposed war against Iran has provided so many platforms and potential to create and produce more literature along with the number of movies which is called the literature of sacred resistance. After the end of War, enemies have started cold War by imposing sanction against Iran but these sanction resulted reversed. In spite of all pressure and threats, Iran came amongst top 10 countries of the world in the different fields of sciences. The people of India also are familiar with this concept because they have defeated the British imperialism with their own resistance under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi." said Mohd. Ali Faulladi, Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India. Iran.


"The relation between India and Iran go back to centuries. We are both emotional and spiritual countries. There are many similarities between two cultures. Indian films are well accepted by people of Iran." Expressed Sandeep Marwah while inaugurating the festival by lighting the lamp in the Indian traditional way.


Renowned filmmakers including Ali Ghafari, Mohammad Sanati and Mohsen Ali-Akbari were the guests of honors who have come from Iran to participate in the festival.


The festival was inaugurated with great enthusiasm. Filmmaker & Secretary General ICMEI Ashok Tyagi, guests from Embassy of Iran, film persons from Iran Broadcasting were also present there.
