Dr. Ali Jannati met Dr. Najma Heptullah on 19.3.2016

 


During the unofficial visit to India Dr. Jannati the Culture Minister of India met Dr. Najma Heptullah Minorities Minister Govt. of Iran on 19.3.2016 with His Excellency Mr. Ghulam Reza Ansari the honble Ambassador of I.R.Iran, Dr. Ali Dehgahi the Cultural Counsellor of Iran, and Mohd. Hussain Shojie. Cultural Relation between India and Iran and position of religious minorities in both countries were discussed. Dr. Jannati told that for more than 1000 yrs relations are existing between India and Iran and Culturally their relations are very rich. He further said that Persian language was the court language of India and was spoken by the intellectuals, courts and by the people of that period and still today Persian is active in different universities of India. Old historical monuments has Persian epigraphy engraved on them. He also mentioned that minorities and women in Iran are enjoying the status as others. Various religious minorities like Parsis, Jews and Armani are in Iranian Parliament and worship freely and leading a peaceful life there and the western media propaganda about women and minorities are totally baseless and false.
Dr. Najma Heptullah mentioned about her grandfather Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who first established Indian Council for Cultural Relations in India. She further said that twice I attended the function being organized by Iran Culture House in Jamia Millia Islamia. She further said that I accept what Dr. Jannati has said about the Cultural relations between India and Iran. Political and Cultural relation between the two countries are growing day by day. In Sanskrit and Marathi, we find Persian vocabulary.


She added that my grand father also like Persian language. She invited Dr. Jannati, His Excellency Ghulam Raza Ansari and Dr. Dehgahi for the Parsi celebration function. She mentioned that many ariticles have came from Iran for the exhibition relating to Nauroz Festival. Dr. Jannati invited her to visit Iran and she thanked him for this invitation.
