The Certificate Distribution program was held at Indo-Iranian Studies Center, University of Rohilkhand, India

 

The Farewell cum-certificate distribution ceremony of Persian Course at the Center for Indo-Iranian Studies at the University of Rohilkhand , Barielly was attended by HojjatoAllah Abedi, deputy cultural Councillor of I.R. Iran, New Delhi, Prof. Abhay Kumar, Head of the Center, Professors and students of the Persian language, on Monday, August 28, 2017.

The program began with the official welcome of Dr. Abhay Kumar, director of the Center, Rohilkhand University. He initially gave a brief history of the establishment of the center by the Iran Culture House, New Delhi and further thanked for the support of the Culture House during the five years of its activities. He mentioned the most important activities of the center is teaching of Farsi language and publishing of an Indo-Iran journal titled "Mitra" .

Hajatullah Abedi, deputy Cultural Councilor, I.R of Iran, New Delhi, spoke about the importance of Persian language from two perspectives and he mentioned about its place in the common heritage of India and Iran.


"Every academic activity we do and every education we receive must be for the betterment of human society as well as to serve the humanity and the rich Persian literature is full of this kind of values," he said.


Prof. B.S.Lal, head of the Department of History of the University of Rohilkhand, and a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, praised the organizers and sponsors, stressing the efforts of students to strengthen the relations between India and Iran through the use of Persian language. .


Besides this, Hojatullah Abedi, the Deputy Cultural Counsellor, interviewed three local journalists from the Times of India, Amar Ujala and Dainik Jagran on the Iranian Culture Houses activities in India, especially on the expansion of Indo-Iran relations.

In the end, 20 students of Level 1 and Level 2 were awarded the certificate.


The Center for Indo- Iranian Studies at the RohilKhand University, Barielly was founded in 2012 by Irans Culture House, New Delhi and it was graced by the former Ambassador of I. R. Iran to India Mr. Mahdi Nabi Zadeh.
