A New Session of Persian Language course inaugurated at Iran Culture House, New Delhi


On 31st August 2018, a fresh short duration certificate course of Persian language was started at Iran Culture House, New Delhi in the presence of Dr. E. Shokrollahi, Director, Persian Research Centre, Mr. Hojatullah Abedi, Deputy Cultural Counselor of I. R. Iran-New Delhi, along with teachers of this course, Mrs. Rajabi, Mr. Mehdi Baqir Khan as well as more than 70 students of Persian Language.

After the recitation of Holy Quran by Dr. Ali Reza, Dr. Shokrollahi in his inaugural speech welcomed the students from different cultural & linguistic backgrounds who came to learn the Persian language and spoke about the historical background of Persian literature.

 

Mr. Abedi enquired the students about their motives for learning the Persian and said that different people may have various intentions such as to know about Iran as well as its culture and even Persian literature, but the main motive behind learning Persian is to access the cultural & historical heritage of India.


Mr. Hojjatullah Abedi also said that Persian is a language of love, mysticism and morality as these concepts are soul of Persian texts, especially manifested in the poems of its great poets.


At the end, 32 Certificates were presented to the students of Level I and II. While 40 students have been registered for fresh batch of first level Persian Classes. These classes would be held in Iran Culture House thrice in a week and books proposed for this session is based on the latest methodology of Persian learning"s prepared by Sa"di Foundation, Tehran.
