Iranian Art & Culture Exhibition in Delhi Art College on 8th – 10th Feb 2020

Following the Iranian Cultural Month in India, a cultural and artistic event was held on Tuesday, February 8, 2020, along with an exhibition of calligraphy and handicrafts at the Delhi College of Art affiliated with Delhi University, India"s largest public university. The ceremony was attended by officials of the College of Arts, Dr. M Ali Rabbani Cultural Counselor, Dr. Alireza Qazveh, Cultural Attaché of Iran , artists from Iran, as well as a large number of students and professors of the College of Arts.

                  

- 2 talk show were also held to introduce Iranian culture and art

During three days of cultural and artistic programs at the College of Art in Delhi, two talk show were also held on the 9th and 10th Feb 2020 about Iranian culture and art. In the first session, Mr. Rabbani, Cultural Counselor, Professor Sharif Hossein Ghasemi, Ms. Tadayon, Iranian artists, and Mr. Kaveh Teymouri, Iranian Calligraphy Professors, spoke about the characteristics of Iranian. Second day four Iranian and Indian professors spoke on the art history in Iran. Dr. Amin, an Iranian professor at the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom, Mr. Masood Rabbani and Dr. Hekmat.

   

Art exhibition held

A cultural and artistic exhibition was organized, in which images of Iran"s tourism attractions, handicrafts, calligraphy and other cultural and artistic items were displayed.

 

- A two-day calligraphy workshop

In order to acquaint the students of Delhi Art College with the art of calligraphy of Iran, a two-day workshop was held at this college and in the presence of Mr. Masood Rabbani, from Iran, briefed the principles and rules of Nastaliq calligraphy to students and audiences of this college.

 

- Screening of Iranian films

In addition to educational workshops, two Iranian movies were screened at the festival every day. During this program, and was welcomed by professors and students of film and theater of this colleges.
