Cultural Counselor of Iran visited Indian Council for Philosophical Research

 Dr. Mohd Ali Rabbani the Cultural Councilor of Iran in India has visited Indian Council for Philosophical Research and had a cordial meeting with Prof. Sachchidananda Mishra Member Secretary ICPR on July 16, 2021 and reaffirmed the willingness of the third round of religious talks on Islam and Hinduism.

During the meeting with Iran’s Cultural Counselor in Delhi, referring to the history of interfaith dialogue between Iran and India, said: "The development and continuation of the round of dialogues between Islam and Hinduism is high on the agenda."

Referring to the agreements reached between the Islamic Culture  Relation Organization and the Indian Council for Philosophical Research to hold annual talks between Islam and Hinduism and hold two rounds of talks in Delhi and Tehran, Dr. Rabbani expressed hope that a third round of Islam-Hinduism talks could be held in near future.

Dr. Rabbani added: "Continuing the interfaith dialogue between Islam and Hinduism can strengthen the social understanding of India with rest of the community in and outside India and provide a favorable environment for the spread of moderation and prevent the ill effect of the spread of religious extremism,".

Prof. Sachchidananda Mishra expressed hope that this round of talks could take place in   September or November Nor this year. He added "Such dialogues can be the basis for the formation of a deeper understanding of the intellectual, cultural and religious issues.
